Research Services
Our Mission
The mission of the Department of Medicine office of Research Services is to assist principal investigators in creating and maintaining successful research programs. This includes navigating the intricacies of the research process, both within the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the myriad of other funding sources beyond the University.
The Research Services staff consists of experienced professionals dedicated to facilitating research grant applications and who will provide guidance and assistance in the following areas:
- Aid in the search for available funding opportunities for specific areas of research
- Provide direction to initiate a specific grant application and how to obtain pertinent information which will add clarity to the application process
- Assist in budget preparation
- Provide training in Cayuse, WISPER, ECRT, and WISDM
- Assist in grant editing
- Help develop IRB protocol
- Analyze and provide recommendations for Effort Reporting
- Help monitor contract processing
- Anticipate and reconcile post-award conflicts
- Progress reports/eSNAP
- Serve as a resource for all research needs
