The Sections of Hematology and Medical Oncology include clinical research focusing on treatment of hematologic malignancies, benign hematologic disorders, most solid tumor types, and lymphomas. The associated UW Clinical Cancer Center is one of only 38 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country and sponsors research and training programs with a comprehensive approach to basic and translational cancer research.
