DOM "Research funds" are derived from the Departmental "R&D tax" on clinical income. Applications for Research funds are accepted from DOM faculty for the following purposes:

1. Funding Research Initiatives via the Research & Development Committee
   • NEW pilot projects
   • Training grant supplementation
   • Individual Research Fellow supplementation
   • Scientific conference support
   • Single item/equipment
2. Salary Match - created to encourage salary recovery on grants.
3. Capital Exercise
4. Bridge Funding - to assist an investigator during gaps in funding.
5. Review Process for Research Committee Applications
