Mission Statement

The purpose of this Committee is to advance the Chair's Research Mission of developing successful and innovative research. The Research Committee works to develop new initiatives to stimulate research success throughout the department. The committee develops and oversees policies for initiatives such as pilot project funding, salary matching, bridge funding, and the capital exercise process. In addition, the committee has the responsibility to oversee expenditures of the DOM research funds. A key mission is to foster the development of young faculty in research and new grant submissions within the Department of Medicine.
