Biography
Director, Cardiac Catheterization, William S. Middleton Memorial
A member of Alpha Omega Alpha, Peter Kosolcharoen received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Upon completing a cardiovascular fellowship at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in 1979, Kosolcharoen joined the University of Wisconsin Medical School faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, becoming an Associate Professor in 1987. Kosolcharoen's clinical activities include general cardiology, cardiac catheterization and coronary angioplasty; electrophysiology including pacemaker and ICD implantation; and echocardiography. He is also involved in teaching cardiac catheterization to cardiology fellows, instructing fourth year medical students in ECG reading, and assessing the clinical skills of third year medical students. Kosolcharoen's clinical research focuses on heart failure, acute coronary syndromes and anticoagulation.
