Biography

Dr. Arif Ahmad's practice includes a wide area of cardiology including noninvasive, invasive and electrophysiology. He did his medical schooling at the University of Punjab in Pakistan. Additional training includes Internal Medicine residency at Saint Barnabas hospital in New York followed by Cardiology and Electrophysiology fellowships at University of Wisconsin / Aurora health care in Wisconsin. He joined University of Wisconsin as a clinical assistant professor in 2007. He is also the Chair of Department of Cardiology at Monroe Clinic and Hospital in Monroe, Wisconsin. One of his areas of interest is improving collaboration between peripheral and tertiary cardiac centers to allow for better patient care. Dr. Ahmad is board certified in cardiology and electrophysiology.

His practice includes stress testing, echocardiography (including transesophageal), cardiac catheterization, cardiac CT, device implants, EP studies and ablations. Dr. Ahmad started the programs for cardiac CT and electrophysiology at Monroe Clinic. Dr.

Ahmad is involved in the teaching of the cardiology fellows and medical students both at the University Hospital and at Monroe Clinic. He is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Cardiology.
