Clinical & Research Interests

Dr. Mark Moss is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and is the Director of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship program. Dr. Moss is board-certified in both Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics. He staffs the Allergy Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Outpatient Clinics and consults on the Inpatient Consultation Service. His research interests include childhood asthma, allergic rhinitis and allergy immunotherapy.

After serving as the Associate Director of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Program from 2002-2007, Dr. Moss has served as Program Director since 2007. The Allergy and Immunology training program was awarded continued accreditation in 2007 and is being considered for a new 10-year accreditation cycle for future renewals.

Dr. Moss is a member of the NIH funded Childhood Asthma Research and Education (CARE) network through the University of Wisconsin Clinical Center. CARE clinical trials investigate clinically relevant hypotheses including methods of optimal medication use in the treatment of childhood asthma. He also serves as Principal Investigator for several clinical research trials in the active clinical research program investigating new treatments for asthma and allergic rhinitis. Recent trials include the use of novel forms of allergy immunotherapy including accelerated subcutaneous immunotherapy, sublingual immunotherapy, and immunomodulator therapy. Trials also include treatment of exercise-induced asthma, asthma using novel routes of delivery of medications and asthma using newly developed medications.
