Biography

Dr. Bridges is Chief of Staff at the Madison VA Hospital. He manages inpatient and outpatient medicine as well as the outreach clinics. He is very involved in quality assurance and pharmacoeconomics of medical practice at the VA Hospital. His administrative position limits his involvement in research to his work in the UW Hospital and Clinics Immunology Laboratory where he is Lab Director. His research has focused on diagnosis of connective tissue diseases, specifically autoantibody testing. Dr. Bridges serves as a clinical consultant for rare cases of connective tissue disease and vasculitis that has lead to clinical research projects.
