Amy is responsible for providing human resources support to the Department of Medicine in the following areas:
- Management of processes related to faculty appointments including development and posting faculty PVLs, preparation of faculty appointment letters, coordination of start-up requests for faculty appointments, coordination of faculty recruitment with the UW Medical Foundation, etc.
- Oversight of processes related to faculty promotions, mentoring, licensure and credentialing
- Responsible for labor relations (i.e., grievances and disciplinary procedures) in the Department of Medicine
- Preparation and processing of documents for employment visas
- Responsible for interpretation and initiation of lay off and non-renewal procedures
- Management of processes related to employee-in-training positions
- Dissemination and interpretation of information relating to human resources policies and procedures
- Coordination of electronic ballots and agendas for Department Executive Committee votes
- Responsible for the maintenance of faculty personnel records
- Coordinate HR projects for the Department

- Responsible for developing and disseminating departmental newsletter ‘News & Notes'
- Responsible for maintenance of volunteer faculty, classified and academic staff personnel records
- Coordinate HR projects for the Department
