HIV Care Program
The University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics has been providing care for persons with AIDS and HIV-related conditions since the early 1980s. Our experience has taught us that careful coordination of inpatient, outpatient, and home health care, combined with community components guarantees high quality health services.
Philosophy
Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, the program provides services beginning with prevention and early intervention and continuing through the course of illness. Our goal is to offer high quality, state of the art care including patient education and counseling and access to clinical drug studies.
Working Closely with You
The HIV Care Program doctors are committed to working closely with you and your family. They are specialists who serve as primary care physicians for their patients as well as consultants to practitioners throughout the midwest. In order for you to obtain your care as close to home as possible, we will help arrange for your primary physician to obtain follow-up laboratory tests and administer HIV related therapies.
