Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Wisconsin is a dynamic and growing academic program, balancing excellence in research, teaching and clinical care in the setting of a world-class university. Our clinical programs reflect the ever-increasing complexity and technology of cutting-edge medicine, including a multispecialty cardiovascular disease program linking cardiologists with surgeons and other providers who contribute to our patients' well being.

Our research programs are organized around four themes, bridging the bench-to-bedside divide in heart failure, arrhythmias, vascular biology and imaging. Our efforts are closely aligned to the great strengths in fundamental research in the UW environment, and focus on carrying these into the translational and clinical domains. In addition, education is a real-world priority, at every level.

Our excitement in building cardiovascular medicine is shared by our hospital, School of Medicine and Public Health and university. Together, we are creating the cardiovascular program of the future.
