One of the primary goals of the Cardiovascular Medicine Division is to work closely with local, community-based physicians to enhance patient care in their own communities. This collaboration between community physicians and cardiology specialists at the University of Wisconsin enhances the delivery of quality care throughout southern Wisconsin. In addition, Outreach Services provides direct access to University of Wisconsin Hospital services.
University of Wisconsin cardiologists travel to local communities to provide on-site consultations. Some of the services offered at these sites include:
- Outpatient consultations
- Inpatient consultations
- ECG and Holter monitor interpretation
- Echocardiographic interpretation
- Nuclear imaging interpretation
- Emergency cardiovascular care
- Exercise and pharmacological stress testing
